about me

I don’t possess any special culinary training unless you count growing up in a family of 8, and from a ridiculously young age having to cook dinner for said 8 people using whatever I could find in our pantry.  However, cooking was one of the few things our parents let us do with almost reckless abandon, and it led to some pretty creative concoctions.  (Anybody remember parsley in the scrambled eggs?)  I also suppose this is what may have led to my predisposition to cook large batches of food, and see leftovers as our weeknight savior.  So thank you(?), Mom and Dad. 
I have been married for 7ish years to the sweetest man I know.  (Seriously he's, like, a saint.)  We have two children: two sweet beautiful angels who carry our hearts in their chubby little hands.  We work, eat, play, laugh, try to sleep, repeat.
